Morning all,
haven't decided what the weather is going to do today, its warm but very overcast. Ive got the laundry neatly piled into loads, one wash in, another 4 to go.
The weekend was difficult. I went to see my eldest son yesterday. I haven't seen him for a couple of months and when I saw him he took my breath away. Talk about looking at a clone of my ex! Not only that, he looks ill. Very ill. Only to be expected I suppose.
Chores for today:
Laundry
[strike]Vacuum upstairs[/strike]
[strike]Vacuum downstairs[/strike]
[strike]Vacuum stairs[/strike]
[strike]Vacuum 'youngests' bed[/strike]
[strike]Dust and wet wipe upstairs[/strike]

Tea - Hunters chicken and something.
Not sure how many jobs i'll be able to fit in today considering ive started late but ive got no one to get in the way and i'll give it my best shot.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all
I'm fuming here, DH dropped me at the shops and I bought a few things and started to walk home. Part way back I was finding the bag a bit heavy so walked to the stop and waited for the bus. It came along nearly empty and I stood there with my hand stuck out, and he just looked me in the eye and drove straight past! I was spitting bullets I can tell you. I ended up walking home and half hoped he'd pass me on his return journey so I could lob a tin of peas at him
Jackieo - I hope you are ok and home soon x
Elona- sending strength to you and DH x
Red ruby - any chance of you popping over and cleaning my house too?
Looks very overcast here so I'm keeping one eye on the washing hanging outside. Ds2 has done a very half hearted effort in tidying his room and I can't decide whether to finish the job properly or just close his bedroom door!
Making curry for dinner tonight, have a good day all and hugs to those in need xx0 -

Apparently they do that if they are running late. Well that's what I was told. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all,
Had a lovely weekend away in the caravan. Couldn't believe how hot it was yesterday. DH and I went off for a walk across the fields and walked for what seemed miles. I really must remember to take the OS map with me next time
I've done two lots of washing this morning and cleaned through. I've also got two cakes cooking. I can't believe I have achieved so much!
Elona - Hope your DH is feeling ok and hope JackieO is recovering nicely.

Oh JUDI what a dreadful shock for you. Is your Son still in re-hab, how is he doing?
As you say it is only to be expected when you are being weaned off something that has been such a big part of your life.
Gentle hugs to you Judi and every good wish to your Son.

Afternoon everyone, dull grey misty and cold here today, weather is supposed to improve this afternoon but no sign of it so far. I'm wearing long sleeves too, feels very odd after T shirts all summer long.
Nothing much planned today as we're both feeling a little iffy without actually feeling ill so He Who Knows is bottling this years cider and I'm trying to get warm. Even the lurcha wouldn't walk far this morning, it must be something in the air? Never mind, tomorrow is another day and I've got all the tea I need so the world could be so much worse couldn't it?
Look after yourselves and have a good day all, Lyn xxx.0 -
Hi Guys,
Just got back from Butlins at Bognor. Went to see The Osmonds (FAB!):j
Only fly in the ointment, only one lift, taking one wheelchair so had to queue for ages. Also, people stood up in front of me, so I couldn't see, barged my way through in the end:rotfl:
I have emailed Butlins to suggest that they have a designated wheelchair space so we can see, be interested to see their response.:o
Happy Birthday to DS, 24 today. Makes me feel old!
(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) to JackieO hope you are getting better.
Washing done, guess I better find some dinner!
Enjoy the day guys.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Estate agents have gone so DH has gone back upstairs for a rest.
Fingers crossed the photos will be good and we get a buyer - hopefully once we see a bungalow.
Managed to get some scrambled egg and cheese into him and made me and DD bacon and egg for lunch.
Dishwasher is on and a stew is in a cast iron dish on the hob ready to put in a low temp oven when we leave for the hospital.
Another dd is coming over to drive us there and will try to talk DH into ordering taxi for the rest of the week.
Judi
Wishing you luck and good vibes for your son.

Judi I know we can't, but sometimes it is difficult. Our DD2 has been married 22 years to an emotionally abusive man, and finally I had to say something after one particular episode.
She now won't talk to us. We have had her here so many times in a terrible state, crying after the latest episode, but still she goes back for more. I didn't bring her up to put up with that sort of rubbish from any man, but once they go you don't have much say in it do you?
Life and families can be so difficult but she gave us 3 gorgeous grandchildren, for which we will be eternally grateful, and we still see them, although not her.
I haven't told many people about this.

Judi enjoy that cuppa before you start dinner x0
