Thank you MSE - UKPC 'parking charge' cancelled!

Options
Just to let you all know- I had no less than two 'tickets' issued within a week.(I had forgotten to display my parking permit).

I followed the advice given in the Newbies section, and waited for Notice to Keeper letters which duly arrived.. I then copied and pasted the template letter and sent this as advised for each 'charge'.

A further 'demand' for payment arrived about a week after this, written in a hassling manner, one for each incident. Thanks to you good folks I kept calm and ignored these as I had followed the advice to the letter.

The next correspondence from UKPC was - 'your case will be put on hold whilst under appeal and we will respond to you in writing within 35 working days'.

Two letters from UKPC awaited my return today from a trip away - they have cancelled the Parking Charges due to an administrative error and they wanted me to know that they ' strive to deliver a high quality service that enhances the existing quality standards insisted upon by our client and ensure our Wardens are stringently trained to meet these expected standards'.

There's more! ' On behalf of ourselves and our client we apologise for any inconvenience'.

Well, that'll do nicely UKPC. Now please leave me and my car alone.

So once again many thanks to you knowledgeable folk on MSE. I will be letting all at my workplace know about this as I am not the only sufferer/ target/victim!

Yeah, that's the one - search the forum for 'UKPC goodwill' and you will find that happens a lot, they give up all the time when they see a person has found this forum. Sudden unexplained 'admin errors' happen a lot! When they try POPLA they lose very time v 'us' so no wonder they don't pursue it.
Glad you are spreading the word because no-one should pay a private parking ticket. Most are dead easy to beat and UKPC's are among the simplest to shoot down when you know how, which you do!

I have added your success here with LOADS of others:

UKPC crop up all the time as an early 'thrower-in' of the towel. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I was worried at first because I knew that ignoring the tickets is no longer an option and the appeal letter looks very "legal" and complicated..however a little bit of effort was worth the time spent.

Back in 2012 I did ignore a UKPC ticket. I posted on here for advice which was gratefully received and followed. I was then bombarded with stern letters demanding varying amounts of "fine" - these came from (supposedly) various different agencies threatening some kind of action. I was able to resist parting with any money and the letters eventually stopped.
Rather ungraciously I then forgot all about it and did not return to the forum to update :/. Dear Forumites, Please accept my belated apologies and thanks :)

    Hi all

Sorry to hijack this thread but I have a question. Is it OK to appeal via ukpcappeals.co.uk or is it better by post?

The website given doesn't provide an email, it provides a form asking for all manor of personal details such as name and address. Which would you guys recommend?
