Except the argument wasn't over the location of Jersey or it's official status but over how it's classified by RM. Presumably your backtracing implies that you now realize that RM in fact do classify it as UK. And why not, all that means is that for purposes of postage, there is no difference between Jersey and the UK.
For the argument, I will stand by my original comment;
Jersey is classed as the UK for Royal Mail, although you will also need to fill a CN22, as they're not in the EU.
The OP wanted to know how to post his order to Jersey & the suggestion was to use the Royal Mail as they charge the same price0 -
