And who are mnposg.org.uk? They are the UK Mobile Number Portability (MNP) Operator Steering Group (OSG), with the executive membership being EE, 3, O2, and Vodafone.
I think you will find it was set up by Oftel (later to become Ofcom) back in the days when porting used to take 3/4 weeks not days.

It's a requirement of Ofcom's GC18 that the networks are members as in other regulated trades and industries, like a Vet has to be a member of RCVS in order to practice as in the "Veterinary Surgeons Act." etc.

So thanks for confirming that this is an internal process devised by the mobile phone companies and nothing to do with the legislation.
Clearly you haven't read the legislation :rotfl:

That would be the legislation you constantly refer to, but when asked, can't quote the act or regulation where it says the request to cancel is ignored.

It is hard to read something that doesn't exist.

Well, T-mobile offered me £10 compensation for waiting 6 hours on the phone to get a PAC code. I of course rejected such offer. Their dispute department failed to make a better compensation offer, so I raised a money claim/small claim for £100 + legal fees (took me 10 min), which they have accepted to pay straight away. Issue closed now, but even getting compensation from them is made as hard as possible.
