First direct switch incentive

Options
Good morning - I switched to First Direct on 1st August using the link posted on here - I've deposited £1000 in August and September - does anyone have any idea when I should expect the incentive? Anyone had any problems getting it? Thanks in advance :)

I got mine within a few days of the switch going through and wages being deposited. Maybe you should contact them.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Thanks Jazee - I did think it was taking too long - will do that.

What was the timescale between you opening the First Direct current account and applying for the switch?

Have you previously held any First Direct accounts?

  • Never had a first direct account before, and the switch went through right after i opened the account.
  • Thanks for your replies - just phoned them, and it went in yesterday! they say 28 days after your first salary gone in, incase anyone not received theirs yet.

    Similar experience for me.

I had to contact them twice, but £125 appeared online this morning, credited yesterday :)

Not necessarily. It's within 28 days of either depositing £1K or completing the switch...whichever occurs last.

That's what T&C say, however, mine was 40 days after I'd met both criteria.

Me too - that's why I was querying it as it did seem longer to pay out than I expected.
