Same winners repeatedly winning

I was having a dull 5 minutes so I decided to look up winners for a regular magazine that I have. I send in a postal entry each week and the rules state that only one entry is allowed by any of the different methods. This should mean a lower number of entries overall.

Anyway back on track..... a name came up again and again for a particular magazine some times a couple of weeks in a row. Now this person appears to be amazingly lucky considering the total number of entries the magazine must receive and one of hers manages to make it into the winning selection. I have counted 5 wins with this magazine and I only checked a dozen winners list - I wish I was that lucky!!!!

Why don't you raise it with the magazine? If they have a FB page ask on there? Wht magazine is it?

I have raised it with the magazine since it is not possible by pure chance alone to keep winning given the large number of entries they receive.

I have not mentioned the winners details or the magazine since we are not to discuss forum users since it is against the rules of the site.

Unfortunately greed does lead some to unfair practice. Hopefully the magazine will take a look at it's rules and start implementing them!

If the result of something is random then any sequence of results is possible by pure chance.

OK then for the pedantic amongst you - it is very unlikely that with only one entry allowed each week by any of the different methods and the vast number of entries received that a single person could have their entry picked out so often!

Was this person winning worthwhile prizes or was it just stuff like books, DVD's and mascara etc?
