Multi Fuel Stove Flue Swept

I had a Clearview 500 Multifuel stove installed about 12 moths ago with a 6 inch flue liner as recommended.
I have been burning pallet wood (
) & used about 5 x 50 kg bags of housecoal on slumber some nights just to use up the coal to be honest.
I burn the stove at maximum heat by a stove thermometer.
Now I have just had the flue swept by my chimney sweep using his new fangle brushes on the end of a drill !!
I have to say that I was astounded by the amount of stuff that came out of the flue.....
I would say that there was about 2 large bucket fulls !!
When I had my old multifuel stove the amount of stuff the sweep removed from the traditional flue was about 2 large handfulls every 2 years.
Do you think it is something to do with the rain cap not allowing the flue to 'get rid' of the ash / dust ??

Did you also burn housecoal on your old stove?0

was it the same sweep ? could be this one is just better at it than the other. But its more likely its because you have been using house coal, never use it on a closed appliance or a small flue 7inch or below it gives off so much soot it will close the flue up in no time, it can also cause and explosion in a stove damaging door glass.0

If you read through your user manual for the Clearview it will more likely than not say DO NOT BURN BITUMINOUS COAL ie house coal
As per others that have replied house coal on stoves is a big no no, smokeless you can ! but house coal is wayyyy to dirty and another point NEVER slumberburn ! including wood ! you're ok to burn smokeless like that but never anything else. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

Same sweep.....just the different flue.0 -
Power sweeping will generally remove a lot more than traditional brushes - but housecoal is entirely unsuitable as a fuel in any modern closed stove. I've had a few customers who didn't know any better and I've got the call when nothing goes up the chimney any more. Multi fuel means wood and/or smokeless fuel - it doesn't mean "anything" and it doesn't mean housecoal.0

I have to echo what everyone else is saying. Housecoal is completely unsuitable for a stove. Use smokeless instead.0

Suitable fuel will say so on the bags if prepacks it will say suitable for closed appliances0
