Afternoon all,
I'm sourcing a shower for our en suite that will be constructed shortly in our loft. It will be powered by a WB 34CDI combi boiler and the tray will be 900mmx900mm.
What makes are good in terms of both performace, reliability etc? No idea on budget but guess it'll be a few hundred quid?
Very keen on the style of shower as below for a 'rain' effect as well as a flexible hose for washing both ourselves and the shower!
Any thoughts/advice appreciated. Thanks

Check the flow rate required for 'rainfall' showers - it is likely it cannot be supplied by a combi boile, especially in winter.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Thanks Owain. Is there a certain flow I should be looking for for something like the above?0

Mira if on a budget . The likes of the Coda ERD can be had for around £230
For a little more luxury, hansgrohe showerpipe with a 240mm air head
Both can be run of a decent combi that flows 12l+ HW per minHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Thanks Andy, much appreciated.
This is going to sounds stupid but if I get a bucket of water on max under the kitchen hot water and run it for thirty seconds as long as I can get 6l out of it it should be sufficient? The hansgrohe option sounds good but presumably that's just the main head and not the adjustable one too?0 -
It will give you an idea, but temperatures are still quite mild, and in winter the cold water will be colder, so you will get less hot water flow as the temperature rise required through the boiler will be greater.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Both will work on a much lower pressure. The coda we have used on a tank fed system with just 0.2bar
Hansgrohe do a croma version with a 220mm fixed head and loose handset , still air technology so constantly mixers water with air the feeling of more water - softer spray
Remember when your combi runs around 60 degrees your mixing 1 part not to 2 parts cold to achieve a 40 degree water tempHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Thanks both. Just did a quick test and it looks like maximum rate for hot per minute is 8l.
Therefore what range of showers should I be looking at for maximum performance. If we can't have rainfall so be it but I'd still like something powerful if possible?!0 -
Ping for more assistance! Thanks0

Have you looked at Aqualisa? We have had them for 26 years, and DD has one off the combi boiler in her flat.0

My parents have had Aqualisa and rate them highly.
If I can't have the above type shower, is there a model I should be looking for, thermostatic etc?!0
