Any views on the new monitoring thingy from cCleaner.
I've disabled it in Start Ups until I know for sure I need it.

It just lets you know when you will save 0.5Gb of space by cleaning....It won't do anything other than inform you....It is just a way to get you to think about signing up for the Pro paid version....
Saving half a Gig of space is hardly worth the effort...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I see. I only install the SLIM build, which is released after all the other builds. So I haven't seen it yet....though will also disable it.0 -

I disabled live monitoring and ran a clean up, after which cCleaner advised me that it was now monitoring my system.:(
Yes, I checked. It really is disabled in the monitoring screen, but nevertheless shows as enabled in the start-up options and shows as a running process in System Manager. I have now manually stopped the process and disabled it in start-up options as well. It seems that the off switch for this option does not work. Be aware, too, that it is on by default when you upgrade to 4.18.0 -

Note that to disable all monitoring you need to clear TWO option boxes - those for system monitoring and for active monitoring. This is a nuisance, Piriform - bad decision.0
