Switch to British Gas?

I've had big problems with BG from a customer service point of view both at the time of a switch to them in Dec 05, and ongoing. I recently had a competitve quote from Powergen which should save me a little bit, although I had decided I would switch even if I didn't save anything.
Powergen have been ok with me in recent years. Up untill recently! Please see my other thread for the problems, rather than having to type it out again!
I was with N-power before I moved into this property, but they didn't want to move with me, as there token meters in! despite me being a well paid customer to them, they still insisted £150 up front for both gas & lecky meters!
I couldn't understand why! Bad debt maybe on the house I moved into? but certainly they could see from my history, I was a good customer.
I changed to Powergen, been with them now for 4-5yrs
BG are still hopeless with their customer service, after going through the experience with a friend who changed over 9 months ago, they said they'll sort out the readings/bills etc, No show/contact, however, she estimated what she spends each month and saved the money, expecting to pay around £500 once it was sorted, untill a bill finally came through for £1,400!!! Outstanding where they get their figures from! Thats an average £155 per month!
I wouldn't go back to BG, despite my recent upset with Powergen, They've been ok, so I may continue with them!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0
