CA would automatically allow me to get class 1
CB would allow my husband class 3
what does this mean?
seriously stressed out.com lol
Class 1 - these count towards your State Pension, bereavement benefits and some other benefits, eg Jobseeker’s Allowance
Class 3 - these count towards your State Pension and bereavement benefits only0 -
thank you - oh gawd, so will class 3 be ok for my OH to get?
bit of background - My husband is 38, gets PIP and has been unwell for a year now, he has been receiving CB ESA for the last 11 months, and IB ESA for the last month. His condition hasn't improved over the last year and we are just getting appointments through for councilling, cbt and pscyatrist which we are hoping will improve his condition enough for us both to return to work. so this isn't a long term thing (We hope).
so putting him onto Child Benefit instead of me, would get him the class 3 that we could be paying voluntary?
i'm just trying to work out whats best for the short term. i hope you can help, thank you0
