fistral parking eye ticket

Hi
I parked in fistral beach carpark this summer buying a ticket for what i though was the correct amount.
it was coming upto 6.30 at night and after that time it was a flat fee, so I paid for an hours worth of parking then the additional flat fee
I still have the ticket with my reg number on it says i paid £3.70
anyway to my suprise a week or so later I got the letter through from parking eye
It seems i listened to bad advice and chose to ignore these letters
I am now at the stage where they have sent the last letter before threatening court action
I know I bought a ticket and I believed I paid the correct amount, is that a good enough argument/enough evidence
They dont make it clear why I got the fine
the confusing thing is I was with 2 other friends who bought the same ticket as me and never got a fine??
any help appreciated
thanks

Read the 'LBCCC Fightback' sticky thread near the top and send a robust response including a copy of that ticket (but don't write it like an appeal). See the parking sticky threads collated by Crabman.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Doesn't matter. You need to respond to the LBCCC as PE do sue people. You need to swerve that with a robust response.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

'the confusing thing is I was with 2 other friends who bought the same ticket as me and never got a fine??'
monkiman - NONE of you received 'a fine'. Legally incorrect. We don't allow that word for scam p/w on the Forum.
c-m is right, but arm your mindset at once with that knowledge. You alone received an unenforceable fake invoice.
It's important you start reading as c-m has advised and show us everything before you send it off.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

hello again
reading lots and trying to understand it all
after research on here i have found a photo stating the cost to park and it seems i did pay the correct amount
if i send proof of my ticket to parking via the appeal process will that work?0 -
No - there is a response needed to a LBCCC which must follow pre-court protocol! You are *THIS* close to getting Court papers!! You do understand why NOT to say 'I ' or 'my ticket' (EEEEKKK!!!) I presume? You've read enough info here to learn to reply as keeper ONLY?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

to be honest my head is spinning!
how can it be right to have to go through this when the correct price was paid to park in the first place
next guess is to email them 'without prejudice' stating arguement with a copy of ticket???0
