So it wasn't an overstay, it was a double visit?

I don't understand. I mean, he wasn't parked for 2 hours in the car park so it wasn't an overstay? Either way G24 are a cinch to beat at POPLA!

Sorry perhaps I didn't make the situation clear.. When we have been there before the parking limit was 2 hrs, to be honest it had been 6 months since we last visited and during that time the parking limit had been changed to an hour. Now because we had parked there before as we use that staples to get things for ourselves and my daughter we just assumed the limit was still 2 hrs.

Yes but the car wasn't parked for 2 hours. It left and then returned? Or was it parked all the time in the car park?

Indeed, it left and returned. I am presuming that the second stay was for longer than an hour.

Gotcha - and that was what this OP has explained to me by pm now. So you were wrong, DP, to say this:
I am merely stating that using the Equality Act as an excuse is bad form in the circumstance you describe, and that CM was wrong to mention it.
She should include it, as the shopper (this OP) is disabled and needed to take longer to shop, including at the retailers on site. When she started off at the Graduation Ceremony the car wasn't even parked on site as she'd ben dropped off for that (irrelevant then).

It's illegal not to make reasonable adjustments including to arbitrarily enforced time limits. There's an example in here if you search 'tours' as a keyword:

    http://www.equalityhumanrights.com/sites/default/files/documents/EqualityAct/servicescode.pdf

Anyway the OP simply needs to draft a decent POPLA appeal from the examples and include a section about the Equality Act (like Miss Mix's thread but instead of talking about a Blue badge being displayed, just quoting the Act and stating that an arbitrary time limit is indirect discrimination).

She could also complain in writing or by email to the retailers like this example complaint I wrote on pepipoo forum a while back, about a similar issue:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=84076&st=0&gopid=877540

And/or send the complaint to whoever runs the whole retail park (Google the name of the place).
