Average English Council has made 7~8% Cuts since around 2007/2008..... we on the other hand have done (text removed by MSE Forum Team) all...
Expect BIG cuts in the years to come....0 -

Where's that leave Northern Ireland?
Tory/ UKIP coalition... ?????? :rotfl:That will be fun !!!! They despise each other so really can't see that happening... it would be worse than this government. nothing would get done !!!!
Could be a hung parliament.... will any parties actually be able to form a government if they don't win outright?????0 -
What else might happen? Labour are so bad they're embarrassing. Libs are toast. Here's a weird possibility - a labour/ scots Nat/ dup link up, with Sylvia Hermon and mark durkan holding the balance of power. Derry could do well out of this.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

Has anybody noticed that in certain areas of the media - are putting Mr Milliband down all the time at the minute. And those certain areas, well how can I say, are no Daily Mail or Daily Telegraph readers, and strangely refer to Mr Milliband as "Ed" while referring to Mr Cameron and Mr Farage as "Cameron" and "Farage" sometimes in the same sentence. Am I just a cynic or is there a concerted attempt to change the leadership of the Labour party in some areas of the media.
I suppose I am speaking as an outsider to Labour party politics as Labour do not put up candidates here in NI. Interesting to watch though.0 -
I think, like plenty of others, that they chose the wrong milliband brother, but you're right, they don't want to see him succeed. The supposed drubbing from myleene klass didn't look like that to me. Myleene's point was that she didn't want to pay tax - who does? Ed had to tell her you have to raise money somehow, so he was bound to lose. And she's better looking. Pure and simple, probably.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

Just found a great way to help alleviate the burden of all the cuts..
maybe all the A-Holes who owe money on their rates should actually start bl00dy paying it

I see there’s been a bit of talk about removing the rates cap at 450k. Hopefully they follow through on this.0

Maybe they should start refusing to lift their bins, ban them from council amenities or stop police and fire & rescue services from coming to their assistance etc. after all if you don't pay for something you shouldn't expect to be able to make use of it...0 -

Since the rest of us have to pay more on our rates to make up for the cap enjoyed by those in big houses, it'd be a bit rich (?) of the poor (?) dears not to cough up.
Could be interesting. Round here, a couple of colossal houses are inhabited by people who were almost local royalty ten or so years ago. Post crash, they're down with the peasants. Imagine getting a rates bill for £5000 when you drive a van. Auction...“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0
