Nov really has to be Guy Fawkes - though this year PLEASE could we keep Igor away from the fireworks - using them as skewers for the jacket spuds last year really wasn't such a good idea. :eek:

Please do remember the fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and plot.....Igor is dead keen on a bonfire party......penny for the guy, jacket potatoes, cinder toffee, toffee apples, fireworks, sparklers....good excuse to do some decluttering at Ennessdee Towers......best-dressed guy competition........

And on a more serious note....how about we all sacrifice one NSD by making a point of buying a poppy on 11th November?

.....Yes, we could all meet at Ennessdee Towers on 1st November and do some serious clearing out, then build the bonfire.....Knitwitch, count up how many guy costumes are needed and start knitting (when you've done the Halloween stuff)........

Igor,no,people will not go for toffee turnip....but I do believe you when you say that it's a family recipe that's been handed down from generation to generation for donkey's years. :eek:

No NSD today. I brought the last of my cousins Christmas presents and grabbed my self some drinks and a sparkly cat ear head band for work tomorrow (it's wear it pink) and I have a top that says "a sprinkle of glitter" so I thought it was a nice touch.

I'm so behind this year in Christmas shopping.

Can't get another NSD today as the cats will not make the last few bits of cat food last till payday....they are so inconsiderate at times!

Clocks go back one hour here in the UK at 0200 tomorrow - extra hour in bed!

Morning all,

yesterday unexpectedly turned into NSD #10. So target reached! I really didn't think I'd manage it this month. There's even hope now of exceeding it.

Looking forward to some lie ins over half term, might even go back to bed now with a cup of tea and my kindle!
