Morning all
Having an admin day today, just updating my budget as have negotiated new broadband and house insurance and needed to update my spreadsheets. Lots of shredding to do too.
Eating out of freezer to enable us to switch off whilst away, think there may be interesting meals towards next week....
Off to yoga and have a swim later, and had a lovely bike ride along Deal yesterday.
Lovely to hear of new arrivals and not so lovely to hear of poorlies.
Have a good day allCarolbee0 -

Got drenched in school run but sun is out now. Need to get the boots I was wearing resoled as they appear to have a split so one wet foot.
Need to crack on with stuff today, bathrooms to clean, beds to strip and wash, hoovering downstairs, trip to Mr S for a small top up shop.
Got a mountain of shredding I need to get through too. Who said my life was dull :rotfl:
Tea tonight will be HM spicy potato soup and focaccia.
Have a great day whatever you're doing x

Hi everyone,
I finished the baby quilt - just as well because I am going to see him tomorrow.
Today I will be catching up on the housework, packing and tidying up all the fabrics I have been using.
I also have to go to London tonight for a meal with DD at a restaurant she is reviewing. I'm looking forward to seeing her more than the meal!
Have a good day.0 -
Afternoon all,
dodged the showers this morning to go and see Mom. She's got another infection so she's on antibiotics again. Its so tiring going to see her mainly because I get very little I can understand out of her. I feel like ive been talking to her for hours. One thing I did understand though was that she wants to live with me. I passed it off by saying I don't think we could both fit in her single bed but I knew what she meant..... Not in a million years! Ive a lot to be grateful to her for I know but she's not controlling me any longer.
Her dinner is at 12 and all the old dears meet at the dinner table and I trundled Mom into the dining room where the carers seated her at the dining table in her wheelchair.
"She's a troublemaker" this old dear said to me. "She shouts, whistles, throws things for attention". What could I say? I wanted to say "You ought to have tried living with her for 17 years" but I fought back the temptation.
I gave 'Youngest' a list of jobs I wanted doing before I got back which he's done but he's now gone off for the day.
Fish for tea but its not set in stone. Could quite easily be something different if I change my mind. We'll see.
Hester unusual name for your Grand daughter, but lovely nonetheless.

Set off early for hospital for DH's radiotherapy and got back around ten this morning. Emptied dishwasher, cleaned gas hob. tidies worktops a bit, sent DH up for a lie down and told dd what to heat up for lunch.
Got bus to York and managed to find some veg cheese to use for cooking so quite pleased with that.
Going out to buy some flowers alter and do a quick tidy of the house before estate agent comes round later this afternoon but having a browse on here first.
Hester
Congratulations on DGD and lovely names.

Quite an eventful day for you then Elona. I hope the radiotherapy doesn't knock your husband around too much.
Forgot to say, I thought I'd try another approach to Moms communication this morning. She can read, she can read the words out loud not a problem so I wondered if she could communicate through writing. It didn't go very well. She can hardly write her name let alone be it readable.
I could just about recognise her first name, I asked her if she could write my brothers name which she did after a fashion but when I asked her to write my name she wrote her own name.

Mr LW was rushed into hosp late Sat night; he's been there ever since. Singularly vile UTI + possible prostate involvement. Have been out of my mind with worry. Been spending a lot of time by his bedside. Anyways, he's being discharged tonight, so I have to go get him in a few mins.
Don't know when I'll get to post again; may be a tad busy looking after him, + I have to see GP myself tomorrow, sort out error with morphine script.... again. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Oh LW, so sorry to hear your news, you must have been beside yourself. You'll be glad to get home home, I hope things improve for you now.
Take care of yourself & Mr LW.
