If you have your Walmart receipt then Asda will refund (or at least that was their policy 3 or 4 years ago).

Take it ASDA and see if they'll give you a refund. You never know....

    Not a chance!

These figures cost £6 and the OP is talking about trading standards etc........this has to be a wind up........ridiculous!

Like I said, you buy a product (value irrelevant), you expect to receive it as expected. If large companies continue to produce products but don't have a channel to feedback to, that's bad, may as well give my money without getting anything in return. Trading standards is there for a reason, I wouldn't be here should their (funko) customer service contact existed. Also, should anyone have ever also contacted this company, I would be interested to hear their experience. Again why I posted in consumer rights. Your opinion as much as you are entitled does not prove useful in my query and upstands my original post that I can query whatever purchase I have made in a forum setup to do so. If it wasted your time, don't waste more by adding more posts to a "ridiculous" thread.
  • There is no real need to involve any sort of trading standards though is there. This would have been a genuine mistake - something that slipped through their net at manufacturing. It happens and you know that. The company have told you to take it back to Walmart - and if you did that they would refund your money. You chose to buy in America and you must accept the logistical consequences of that.
I agree - lesson learned here. I know what I would do, shrug my shoulders and either glue the head back on or throw it on the bin. I certainly would not waste any of my time on it, I would not consider Trading Standards because there would have to be a large element of doubt in that it was broken during transit and I would not have written a most indignant post about it.

I wasnt meant to come across indignant or seem hung up on it.

I bought a cheap toy, yes. Queried what to do as I contacted company, was told to go to retailer, but I live in uk , not where I bought it. What were my rights/options. End. I know any pursuit for something this small and invaluable is not worth it but as I said previously consumer rights forum. I was asking, now that I've had no real success, I can say meh I'll get some glue now.

If you think this is ridiculous, you should've seen what I went through for my Kinder egg surprise!.... Joke btw

More to the point it's an overseas company anyway which TS won't be interested in.

Well, this seems to contradict you (of course, it was posted before your post so you already knew that but decided to post anyway).

I actually wrote it as sort of a joke, but if ASDA really have had a policy of refunding on Walmart purchases I don't see what harm it could do for the OP to try it - if nothing else it might brighten up an ASDA employee's day :).

Can you imagine the conversation during the lunch break at Trading Standards.

OP - you were suggesting you were "hung up" about it - post 4 - "principal (sic) of it thats the reason behind it".

Glad to see you have come to your senses, there is enough real stress in life.
