Just tried my heater and it hasn't made much difference on full power. Left it on for over 3 hours and the room doesn't feel that much warmer. What should I do? I'm really worried about this now, its not even that cold at the moment.0

Buy a room thermometer. Your heater needs to get the room to around 20 c.
What is the wattage of your heater? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
2 Kilowatts. Should I go back to storage heaters?0

What type of heater was that? If that's a 2kw element heater and it's not making the room warm you must have a huge room! Storage heaters aren't great to be honest, they certainly can't make a room warm quickly. Electric fan element heaters are the quickest, higher the KW, the quicker they will heat.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

My heater is a Dimplex OFRC20TIC and the room is 25m2 including the kitchen area.0

I used to have an oil-filled radiator and was surprised how cheap it was to run - and for a while I had it on more or less permanently (that very cold winter 2 or 3 years ago).
However they do take some time to heat a room - if they aren't on, say, overnight and then the next day till you get in from work, you'll probably be chilly most of the evening and the place will just start to be pleasant when you go to bed, wasting the heat.
You said you have cavity walls but not whether you have cavity wall insulation (unless I missed it). You could find out if you qualify for free insulation if the schemes are still running.0 -
Heater sizing tables can be found online, have a look at the complex one, I'd think you'll need another 2kw heater to heat your space. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

I spent several winters in a drafty Victorian conversion with ill-fitting single glazed windows which meant it wasn't worth turning the heating on for it to disappear so quickly. Unless you have health issues, I wouldn't worry about it too much (provided you have good hot water and the property isn't damp). I wore thermals and a woolly hat in bed, and made good use of hot water bottles. It really didn't bother me.They are an EYESORES!!!!0

I bought a thermometer today, and from a starting temperature of 16 degrees, my heater cant get the room temperature above 18-19 degrees after 90 mins at full blast. My electrician has suggested Ronite heaters, are they any good. Hes saying I wont save money by switching to storage heaters and E7. I suffer from anxiety, and this isn't helping. Already I can't concentrate at work and its affecting my performance. I want to go back to gas central heating where I was renting. :-(0

Are Aeroflow radiators any good? They were mentioned here - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/21484370
