I rang the court today as haven't heard anything back from them re staying the case and referring to popla. She checked the system and said ohhh.... ( me thinking that doesn't sound good) queue a long silence.... Its only been logged on the system for some reason its not being dealt with... i will pass it to the judge today and he will pass it back tomorrow but we may not get to it straight away.... right so thats the day before my defense is due in :-( So will be sorting that ready to hand in just in case!! Cant believe they have had it on their system and not done anything!!0 -
After chasing the court 3 days in a row last week i eventually found out Thursday the case has been adjourned. yay. The lady at the court was unable to tell me why but had kept a eye out for it and seen it had been adjourned.
Got pe defense on friday and all the pics of the carpark are all up to date ones NOT ones from when we parked there in 2013!! Also signs from another site nearby to show how they are improving the signs.... how is that relevant.... they were not at this improved state when i parked there!! Anyway just waiting the letter from the judge to turn up to see if it has been adjourned for popla or for the other case to be heard.0 -
Fantastic news - if your case is stayed the pressure is off for now. It's most likely stayed for Beavis I would think (a 'stay' for POPLA is quite rare). Some of the Yorkshire courts seem pretty 'switched on' with a better understanding of the issues with PE than most. Just my feeling based on all the 'cases won' that I have collated for a year, with Bradford, Bolton & Sheffield courts all featuring in cases won or stayed before now.
Let us know the position and what the order from the court actually says.
