Rosyred, if you have wheelie bins she can probably hear people putting them out.

Busiscoming, best wishes for your BiL's recovery.
  • Good afternoon all,

A lovely day here today, a little on the cool side, but bright with a blue sky.

2 loads of washing done and out, took DD shopping, just had some soup and a yoghurt and Himself is contemplating a little siesta.

We had a lovely meal yesterday at the carvery. It was very busy, and as there were 8 of us I thought we might have to wait ages for a table but it wasn't too bad at all, and the food was good and so was the company:)

TTFTM I hope you have been able to make an appointment with the GP.

So many poorly relatives and friends, so I am sending hugs and positive vibes to all and hope for a speedy recovery.

Lyn I have some more pickling onions to prepare so will enlist the help of Himself later.

When we went shopping this morning I stocked up on a few tinned essentials. The store cupboard didn't have too much in it, although the freezer is full, and I have enough jam to last a lifetime. I purchased baked beans (always a good standby) tomatoes, soups for emergencies, flour, squash, coffee and cat food. I will try for a few more things next week, and must have some more toilet rolls, only have 12 at the moment, never been known :)

Enjoy the rest of your day

Ttftm - Sorry to hear that you've got to wait until FRIDAY. Disgusting - no wonder you're !

Just had lunch (crispbread and low-fat hummus) and have done two loads of laundry - 1 super-king duvet cover (load 1) and king-size fitted sheet with 4 pillow cases (load 2) - all billowing on the line in the breeze/sunshine :D.

    • Soup has been made - 'whizzied' - and now cooling ready to go into the freezer. This recipe is a 'keeper'.
    • Repeat scrip has gone in - collect Wednesday :j.
    • Money has gone into the bank :T.

Off out into the garden for a while .........................

speak later - luv Lilyplonk xxx
  • TTFTM this waiting time doesn't improve does it, our surgery is much the same? Perhaps your prediction will be correct, and you will be better by the time you see the GP.

    Hope you still made it.

I can usually get an appointment at my practice on the same day but no choice of who I see. Better than nothing I suppose.

Sun is shining, 4 lots of laundry drying on the rotary. Prescription fetched, dogs walked, and tea prepared. Killing time now for a couple of hours.

  • Sistercass .........How awful (((Hugs))) to your DD and condolences to her friend's family.

Marie Sorry to hear of your loss, my sympathies to your DH and a (Hug) from me and mine x

Elona That is terrific news :T

We had a fantastic day at the zoo we saw the new baby elephant that was born on Tuesday :D fancy giving birth to a 20 stone baby  but he is tiny compared to the others, he spent most of his time under his mum or just flopping down for a nap.

We even had our photos done with Kayleigh one of the girl elephants, we were given some bread to give to her and we were allowed to stroke her, a memory we will keep forever :D She was so patient, they had stood for half an hour and didn't play up one bit.

Phoned the doctor for blood test results and have to see the doctor on Monday that is the earliest appointment so I know how you feel TTFTM :( I also have a podiatry appointment just afterwards and that is outside town, so a lot of running about.

Supposed to have had a follow up appointment for biopsy sent to me and it hasn't arrived  so I have to phone them as well.

We went to Bletchley this morning and came home with another six Christmas presents, I am almost done now :j

Now just got to book the boiler service and chimney sweep and I can tick everything off of my to do list for today

Thanks for all your kind words re dd, she is ok , uni have been fantastic and talked to all those who were close friends , they have also said they will organise transport for them to go to the funeral and also they will speak to their placement supervisors to make sure they understand what's happened and that they can have time off to go to the funeral.

  • Afternoon all
Finished work, collected DGD, dropped her a gym club, went to fill car up with petrol, back to collect DGD & drop her home with a big bundle of bubble wrap that I had at work. Had a squidge with newest DGD, Jolene looking to be strong contender namewise. I've hung washing on the line & I have to be at a Macmillan fund raiser at 7:30 & I need to collect hubby at 8:30, I'm off to forage for more blackberries before the fundraiser!
B Beans, lovey to see you.

Such a busy day, glad to finally sit down!
Very chilly here tonight. I'm sat here with a blanket and hot water bottle. This morning was cold too but really warm after lunch.

Work was a nightmare today. Haven't done very much housework as i did so much yesterday.1 load of washing and i put a pile of clothes away. General tidy up and i really quick dinner of Lo roast chicken, chips, carrots and broccoli.
I feel really lazy :o will make up for it tomorrow and do some extra housework!

    Hugs to all x
