Think I am really embarrassing myself here, showing I would be prime candidate for C4 hoaders or did everyone already realise that.
:eek::rotfl:
I was just thinking that! I'm curious, what's the most out of date item you still use? (condoms don't count!)Have to disagree with you there Anon, this is the one gadget we have never got tired of.
:rotfl: I'm saying nothing.wow PD thats one impressive cake....my lemon drizzle went down well at school this afternoon or so I'm told, but even I have to admit it was not a patch on your creation....thats one lucky recipient.
I was wondering how your cake went, glad it went wellI'm baked out for a little bit, although I do have the urge to make something bread like now :rotfl:

Ok, wise men and women of the Elite, I need some advice please. I really really want the Panasonic breadmaker listed on eBay earlier in the week.
However, due to a blocked chimney I had to pay out to get our gas fire cut off last week, so I'm a bit on the skint side until Friday, when I will have extra cash due to holiday pay at the end of my contract.
So, should I wait until then and hope they're still being sold for £60 on eBay, or should I buy it new from Amazon for £90 plus about £9 p&p, as I have plenty of amazon vouchers saved up from surveys in time for Christmas? Or should I leave it entirely and hope I can get another good deal when finances are a bit easier?
Decisions decisions...
Why not just wait, then if all the ones on ebay have sold, then just use your vouchers?I always buy yeast when it's on offer.
You can get it for free from the bakery dept. in Sainsbobs, and its fresh yeast“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Tut tut tut!! Not very :money: TS.

Not in my local, they are really stingy. I was talking to a friend the other day that works there and he said whenever items are supposed to be reduced, for example the 20p sauces a while back, the manager bumps the price back up. I say works there, should be 'worked' there, he walked out last week because they were trying to force him to do 10 hours unpaid overtime per week.'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -
Keep your vouchers and your money ... and wait for an Amazon Warehouse deal to get it cheaper if it is required (or Christmas for a present). I suspect that most people who buy breadmakers use them a couple of times and then they are consigned to the cupboard when the novelty soon wears off ... next to the Ice cream maker, waffle maker and other "can't live without" gadgets.

How do I keep an eye on amazon warehouse deals? I've heard of them but never actually done it. I know they're one of the most unused kitchen gadgets, but I also know that Panasonic ones sell second hand for around £50-60, so wouldn't be losing much, if anything, if I didn't use it much and wanted to sell it on.
It's more of a difficult decision because it's something I've wanted for ages, not just a whim because I saw it on hot deals. If I knew it was just a whim I'd be able to persuade myself against buying it more easily.0 -

Would never risk that PD. Rotation.
I'm not sure, guess the teabags are the oldest thing I have come across while relocating my stash.
Although I think there are probably food colourings in the larder going back to year dot. :rotfl:
I am using big bottle Tommy K Jan 2013 at the moment as didn't rotate that stash properly thought they were all Oct.
We used 2012 raisins the other day in a biryani as didn't have any sultanas and they had already been opened. Each year the girls came back from uni there were always some leftovers I would not throw away. Did get caught out with extra protein from bag of rice they brought back.:rotfl:
Usually use my eyes then nose and hope for the best. Can't bear for things to go to waste.0 -

I meant the dog food which you said was 50p0 -
I have about £220 of amazon vouchers at the moment, so it would be totally free but over 50% more expensive than the eBay one. How does that affect your POV?
As the Amazon price is not likely to shift significantly upwards wait until pay day and see what deals are around. The worst that'll happen is you buy from Amazon anyway
Or contact the seller and ask if they'll hold it until payday0
