    With no children at home we buy very little bread now and it's all whoopsied decent stuff. But I do enjoy a good knead now and then:D

    I've made bread by hand a couple of times before but it has just never been quite right. We also no longer have an airing cupboard for proving.

    I'm wondering whether DH might get it for me and I'll pay him back on Friday. Normally he'd treat me to it but I think that and a fancy phone is a bit much for one week!

    I have about £220 of amazon vouchers at the moment, so it would be totally free but over 50% more expensive than the eBay one. How does that affect your POV?

    ooh …… I would also have difficulty with this one!

    Students urged to pee in the shower to save money

    Old news:p(:rotfl::rotfl:), saw it yesterday!
    I should have twigged about the money-saving relevance though, but of course I didn't (overall context lost on me again:rotfl:) - I would have gone into my detailed discussion of it if I had posted about it yesterday, as I did not, I did not do so, but now you've posted it...it's brought on the opportunity of me doing so:rotfl::eek::eek: - will have to wait till laterz though as must be out now! See ya!:):):D (Something about 'challenging social convention' mentioned in the BBC article - my thought of why stop there - should challenge it further than that in some area... Laterz!)

    Ok, wise men and women of the Elite, I need some advice please. I really really want the Panasonic breadmaker listed on eBay earlier in the week.

    However, due to a blocked chimney I had to pay out to get our gas fire cut off last week, so I'm a bit on the skint side until Friday, when I will have extra cash due to holiday pay at the end of my contract.

    So, should I wait until then and hope they're still being sold for £60 on eBay, or should I buy it new from Amazon for £90 plus about £9 p&p, as I have plenty of amazon vouchers saved up from surveys in time for Christmas? Or should I leave it entirely and hope I can get another good deal when finances are a bit easier?

    Decisions decisions... :o

    Keep your vouchers and your money ... and wait for an Amazon Warehouse deal to get it cheaper if it is required (or Christmas for a present). I suspect that most people who buy breadmakers use them a couple of times and then they are consigned to the cupboard when the novelty soon wears off ... next to the Ice cream maker, waffle maker and other "can't live without" gadgets.

    Evening Elite, I hope I find you all well :)

    After dropping off this cake earlier, I finally met my chubby little nephew. He's absolutely massive (he weighed 8lbs 11oz at birth) and completely chilled out. Needless to say lots of hugs and he even swore at my mum by sticking up 2 fingers. He definitely takes after his father :rotfl:
