Morning all.
Totally missed Friday fizz. :eek: Fell asleep on the sofa after a day of up and down the stairs relocating my stash.
I ran out of daylight so couldn't see in the bathroom to finish off and now it's piddling down today not sure I want to dodge the rain.
Guess what I found though 6 yes a whole 6 tins of five beanz. :rotfl:
And some of those Homepride 10p chilli con carnes sauces. :eek:
Was speaking about those beans in class other day, discussion about Heinz's marketing x0 -
We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits.0

I think those beans can speak for themselves.
Didn't have my glasses on so not sure how OOD they are or the chilli sauce.They were buried on shelving that I could not reach as M & S wine boxes that are full of chocolate were in front of them.
I haven't even started on making the kitchen larder more respectable. ie no more wobbly towers of tins.
Can't believe how long it is taking me but guess it's a good 3 years worth of stashing if not four. :eek:0 -
Its come over very dark:eek:and now we have the predicted rain:(0

I'm ok with the idea, provided certain people don't dip into the freezer and eat what I've already set aside :mad:

morning all :wave: hope everyone is well & has a great weekend
need to get the kids to get up & dressed so we can be not very MSE & go to the br0adstairs food festival yummm!!
This is a totally random question.
My DD fell last week and broke her leg/ankle and has had it pinned and is in a temporary cast. The surgeon said the "screws" would be removed, does that mean the pins or would there be screws as well? Are pins and screws the same thing? I hope they are removed as her bones would be more likely to grow equally without metal but I always thought pins stayed in. We are back at the hosp on Tuesday to get new cast so will find out then but has been playing on my mind. I was in too much shock when it all happened to ask any sort of coherent questions, other than how long how surgery would be.broke it again last year & had a plate put it & it's now going to be left in so i'm not looking forward to going through airport security :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
hope your DD is ok xx:beer: Happy Bargain Hunting!! :beer:0 -

Savvybuyer wrote: »Ahhh...Daily Mail link I just gave, I now actually read the article (hey, Savvy, actually catch up:eek:) and I notice:
"That bag had a big red sticker on it, saying they were a pound."
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Let's break this down into two parts shall we?
1. That bag had a big red [my emphasis] sticker on it. I notice the key word, that the sticker is red in colour (and also that it is "big"). Red!! See what I told you a few days ago about how people generally perceive red as indicating an offer, whether or not it actually is:D. That is so funny:rotfl::rotfl:. It does work, work, work.
Avoid red stickers and red background pricing. For example - although despite Potatoes bags generally being really expensive (may get onto this - would be getting Sains Basics at £1.90 again or T Eday at £1.18, about the same price per unit and Sains Basics one of the few products in that line that aren't way dearer than other stores - but my 'new' way of buying - to buy with a womble, even if A more expensive, as paying less real cash. I notice how I am indeed having to go back and get them again much sooner, as not much for the money (e.g. the apples packs) compared to elsewhere, even though, with wombles, it's actually saving money) but the Potatoes - if you are having to get them in A, maybe because a womble means less real cash - no need to go for two bags of the White Potatoes at 2 for £3, that they obviously want people to buy. Note the Salad Potatoes same size are £1.50, so same price without getting you to buy more. But then you may need to buy them more often. No need to get one bag of White (thinking you'll miss the mbuy) and pay more (£1.69 individual, or Avs M for one, £1.52 net., 'only' 2p more). Lots of people, even when an mbuy is on, and the red labelling drawn them there, may still miss the mbuy.
Either way, either they buy 2 bags and pay more in total (£3) or they miss the mbuy and pay more (£1.69). You can, stock permitting, just get one bag of Salad Potatoes - £1.50. No particular prominence drawn to that on the store shelving of course:rotfl:.
2. "...saying they were a pound"
:rotfl::rotfl:
Yet again.
People think £1 is a good price:wall::wall:.
:rotfl:So funny that people think they look good for both reasons. And both parts of the supermarket psychology game (psychology on its customers) working, again.:D
:rotfl::rotfl:I've always got loose bananas, as I realise all along they are cheaper. Poor neurotypical people having their perceptions used and failing to realise this fact all along. It's typical of most people to assume something is the case simply because they believe it is. The person on the autism spectrum though tends not to make assumptions and tends to think it through and consider it all in advance rationally and properly and based on all the evidence.
To the general public, I can only say: Ha, ha, ha.:p:rotfl::rotfl:
I've always checked prices and considered the options available to me, never taken for granted that something is a bargain just because the seller tries to portray that it is. I never realised before that my ASD helps me to not succumb to these psychological games the supermarkets play :think: I always thought that people who fall for these tricks are simply stupidI'll always be grateful for the existence of stupid people
people willing to pay over the odds either by thinking they're getting a bargain or happy to pay for a full priced item and not collect their APG. Without these kind of people Asda would not be able to sustain Elite style shopping and we'd all be worse off. So for that I say a big thank you to stupid people :rotfl:
I'm sorry I should stop calling them stupid I know, since they cannot help being that way
Good morning everyone0 -
