Soup, soft foods or foods chopped up into small pieces, illiminating the need to bite until you get used to it. Then you will forget its there and be eating apples and all sorts:)

 just in from a walk with the dogs and have been picking the hedgerows for the brambles, but annoyed to discover a stain from the juice on my light trousers.
Anyone know how to remove it, looks like a big ink blob! :(
    TIA

Soak them in hot water with your usual wash liquid- then wash on a normal cycle. Shouldn't be a problem to remove:) hth

Omg this took me back - spent 7 years wearing braces then still needed an op on my jaw. As posted soft foods until you get used to it. From what I see they use a lot less metal than they used to so most foods not a problem and less risks of them snapping.

Foods you may need to avoid - nuts.... maybe not with the newer ones.

Which reminds me of one of my most embarrassing conversations ever ...... In my teens I used to work at a supermarket and really liked this lad who used to live near me - we became really good friends and used to walk back from work late at night together (a real gent). Anyhow the braces got more complicated and I was feeling fed up as had top and bottom one with elastics between the 2 - was feeling like torture. Anyhow he politely asks if any foods to avoid and I promptly replied "I can't eat nuts, its a shame I really like my nuts" (meaning peanuts). Cue said guy rolling around laughing - and despite many questions refused to illuminate why it was so funny.... Got home and asked my mum who gave me a grilling til she realised why I was asking ... she put me right :embarasse. :rotfl:

Good old sunshine......if you have any. Rinse as much of the stain out as you can and leave to dry in bright sunshine. A conservatory is a good place, if you have one or on a sunny window ledge if you don't. The sun should fade the stain. If it doesn't fade completely, lemon juice should get rid of what's left.
And wear dark trousers next time ;):p
