Yes but the farmers are getting ripped off:( '( yes i want cheap milk so am as guilty as anyone else) and if you buy from the milkman about 60p a pint:eek:

They were discussing this on Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 on Friday and having rose tinted glasses about glass bottles of milk and home delivery. Apparently Dairy Crest are phasing out glass bottles which some claim is the (only) USP of a delivery now. He said he has placed an order and it is 78p a pint or near £2.40 for 4 pints (maths not his strong point!). So £3.16 for 4 pints versus £1 for 4 pints in most supermarkets (less with APG). As we get through over 24 pints a week in our house I think I will stick with the supermarket, sorry to any milk men around.

Despite buying several items at very expensive prices (the supermarket game in operation in the psychology again), at least they could have been reassured (had they checked) that their shopping was over £16 cheaper than M:wall::(.

Think it's due to the horrid Persil capsules on this comp., the 1L Lucozade, the mistake of the Ginsters (they mixed their shop up - think they should be against S at £1, but even that is way too expensive for me, given cheaper mbuys on own brand versions and also given much larger weight Ginsters apparently exclusive to Mr T) and, oh, those 50p biscuits again:(.

The one I like is the Birds Eye Crispy Dippers at £4.25:eek::eek: - of course they ended up paying that and got no APG, whilst I ended up equivalent of £2.70 on my earlier shopping (earlier in the week) - not absolute best as Sainsbobs was £2.92 when it wasn't such an expensive store but not far off.

They also got the expensive price-locked Chicken Fillets (£7/kg as opposed to my guide price of £5/kg that can be found on some other chicken products in M itself - of course I know our glitch from weeks back very much makes £5/kg look very bad). I suspect they think £4.29 is a good price.

Also, :rotfl: the Ben & Jerry's at £4.45!:rotfl::rotfl: I've no idea why or whoever would ever buy those at that price, unless they were comparing vs half prices elsewhere and, even then, £2.24 (or thereabouts) is pretty expensive for the amount got in my view - lots of people seem to fall for the brand product, own brand ice cream tubs are way cheaper, and my price guide on 500ml own brand versions to the Ben & Jerry's has been £1 in the past (A Rocky Road was that some years ago, but not seen those prices recently). They've obviously gone for the more expensive items (more fool them) as the Hot & Spicy Crispy Chicken is at £1.68 each:eek:, missing the (quite poor but frequent) £1 offers on the other ones. I don't know what their thinking or their plan or tactic was here as it's given no APG - I think they had no plan at all! Why buy Mini Kievs at the wrong time when M isn't £1 anymore on them?:rotfl:

The mbuys they went for were mainly a 'rip-off' - the Batchelors (was T 81p bogo'f' expired) were more expensive, even after the mbuy, than just a single purchase at M. The Coca Cola cans were probably way in excess of my £2 price guide, even after the mbuy and that seeing them paying 50p too much on each one. The bleaches at 2 for £1.50 were a rip-off as used to be 1.12L, so a price increase per 100ml on those.
