I hope no one minds me sharing this link, can you believe Breast Cancer gene has been patented in Australia. I don't really understand the implications myself but have signed the petition as I think this could lead to a worrying future.

Signed. I'm outraged. They could possibly link any cures to the gene patent and then ...awful. Research for the benefit of people not to profit from the dying....just awful.

I too have an underactive thyroid with 4 other associated problems. The doctor said they were all due to my autoimmune system. I've just started to look for info so thank you very much indeed mm for the link you've so kindly posted.
This seems to me to be an area that still needs mega investigation as doctors don't always seem to know the answers to my questions. I don't feel it's the doctors fault tho', I think it's simply there's lots more research needed.
On a different note my dh is a regular patient at our local hospital as he keeps having to have malignant melanomas removed. We can't praise the hospital enough. The service is absolutely fantastic!

Totally agree with this karlie. Also think it's very similar in my job (police officer).

Have definitely had my money's worth out of the nhs with all my bladder ops. I received a report today from my consultant that was requested by my police dr, it looks as if I now have to have my bladder removed. Bit scary, big op. :(

Sorry to hear this LS:( did you go back to work today?

I had an APG to use up today so bought some Lynx that compares ok against Mr T:

    2 x Lynx Deodorant Body Spray - Africa (200ml)£7.00£3.98
But don't buy mixed fresh chillies like I did! D'oh!
    1 x SADA Mixed Chillies (50g)£0.50£1.00

Lynx Deo. spray on 2 for £7 in A, so that's not a glitch.
On the Mixed Chillies, oh well:(. Could buy 3 packs of them though, as may be different prices in the T 3 for '2' offer and therefore may go N/A:D. But, just so we are aware of the options beforehand, do those Mixed Chillies compare vs 45p for M as suggested by msm.co.uk? TIA.

Thank you rockyrose. I often sign petitions for "sum of us" but felt so passionate about this one, I had to share.
