    I hope ofcom will catch them this kind of tactics and ask Lyca to pay compensation to all the user whoever they charged more without knowing the innocent users.

    Not too sure what the second part of that sentence means, but have you reported them to Ofcom?

    If everyone relies on someone else, then nothing will be achieved.

    Customers should opt-in by texting SAVE to 2525 to be eligible to get the below special rates, customers who do not opt-in will be charged at our standard rates.

    It doesn't work anyway. Brand new SIM, £20 credit added:
    Sorry, we are unable to process your request. You cannot change your tariff plan

    EDIT: after 20 mins on hold to Lyca, they tell me that new SIMs are automatically on the saver rates for 30 days (though it seems to be based on calendar months). You can find out what you're going to be charged for a number by calling *136*<number>#
    That works for me and indicates I am on saver rates
