    Don't be so silly
You are talking utter nonsense- I suspect you are trying to bully as the OP has mentioned her son has a disability which means he tends to get more anxious anyway. People like you are pathetic and despicable.
What a stupid comment because someone disagrees with a view, bring out the bully card, bring out the disability card....anything else?

    Ridiculous.

This reminds me of a very similar situation I had growing up. I deliberately stole a pencil case out of WH Smiths and when my parents discovered it they knew I'd knicked it because I had no money.

My Mum was all for me going back to the shop and handing it over with a letter of apology but my Dad rode roughshod over that idea as it was risking a criminal record. Instead they took it off me and I never saw it again.

Don't do anything to incriminate your son.

OP has already resolved the issue.

    Okay good.
  • I once walked out of tesco with some stuff in good of pushchair I forgot about. What makes it worse was I used to work there and hubby was a security guard there. When I got home and noticed hubby said he would take them back next day and pay for them....I was too embarrassed and I bet the other security guards had a right laugh at me lol

I once walked out of a big card and gift shop with a row of small magnetic plush monkeys hanging from the buckle of my bag, they'd attached themselves to me as I was paying at the till for a card. There were nine of them and they were literally trailing along the ground behind me. Another shopper noticed and stopped me, I went back into the shop to return them holding them out like they were a snake ready to bite. The staff were in stitches.
    Val.
  • It can happen to anyone. My friend trains guide dogs and one time she was in a shoe shop and realised the staff were pointing at her dog. She looked down and the dog had helped herself to a pair of fluffy slippers and was proudly carrying them around the shop. My friend was very embarrassed, the staff thought it was hilarious. But if she had have been a blind person with a dog she might not have seen what the dog had done and could have left the shop!
  • I would give them a call to explain the situation, and then go in to give it back :) that way they know what to expect so may be more sensitive to his emotions etc.

Honestly, don't worry. They will understand and no way will the police be involved.
    Good luck.

Edit: Sorry, just saw that it is all sorted. I am glad :D

I would mail it back to the shop with a hand written anonymous letter from your son with a brief explanation.

I would'nt call the shop and I would'nt take it back in person, not worth the risk if you try to put it back on the shelf and get spotted etc.
