I posted previously that onestopphoneshop had increased the fees for their 12 month free phone deal to paying £1 per month for itemised billing. After being told by O2 that my direct debit was set up incorrectly - account number incorrect, wven though I am sure I entered it correctly.

O2 say that I shoudlbe able to change to a summary bill and not pay for an itemised one as it contains name, address and tarrif on the bill. I assume that onestopphoneshop gte commission on itemised bills and hence wy they tell you that you have to have it even though you are not told about it in the contract. Onestopphone shop attitude stinks.

I need to challenge onestopphoneshop why my direct deibit was set up incorrectly and why O2 say they itemised billing is not required.

One other thing I did not appreciate was with the CPW contracts you still get 0870 and 0845 numbers as part of the inclusive minutes. I am therefore a little happier I took out the contract.

THAT is normal and has always been the case. O2 isn't the same as cpw O2. Itemised billing is always put on and ONE of the things to do as soon as you get the phone is take it off unless you WANT to pay for it. And although you are perfectly correct about the 0870/0845 numbers you should take a look at the recent three PAGES of threads on here full of are they aren't they!!! Not only that, but these threads start up at regular intervals!
