The AA and Dekra refusing to take any responsibility

long story short
Recently brought a new car from a private seller, decided to purchase the aa vehicle inspection (seem to outsource the work to Dekra) to ensure nothing was wrong with the car and give me piece of mind. £180 later the engineer gave the car the all clear with no faults other than two tyres which would need replacing before too long. However, on my way home I noticed a hissing noise and another noise when braking, took the car to my local garage the following day who diagnosed two faults with the braking system (£500+ to repair). Complained to Dekra straight away in writing, however they have just fobbed me off saying i'm not entitled to any refund or compensation as their engineer did not report any faults. The AA list what their engineer will check on their website, both parts which are faulty feature on the list.
Can anyone recommend what to do next?
Thanks in advance

Is it possible these parts could have been fine when checked but failed when driven?
Will the garage write a statement stating these faults would have been obvious during the check?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
The engineer took the car out for a 10 mile test drive and was the last person to drive it before me buying the car 20 mins later. It just seems too convenient that two parts fail as soon as I've turned the ignition on if you get what i mean!
I suppose i could talk to the garage about that! thanks0 -
