I have done Twitter comps for almost 2 years and had my first win Friday night - won a handbag. Still learning how to do them, not sure if I am doing them right but will keep on trying.

Just wondering what makes you query whether you are doing them right? I was wondering the same thing to start with but have since won quite a bit on Twitter (small things) so must be doing something right. I just follow the instructions in the competition tweet I.e. Follow and retweet that tweet. Sometimes you also have to reply with a certain hashtag (#hashtagWin) in the text of your reply and/or with a preference for a prize or an answer to a question.

I have seen some people copy and paste the text of the tweet to be retweeted rather than just retweet but have no reason to believe this is beneficial. I'd be really interested to hear whether I'm assuming correctly here.

I have been doing twitter comps for about 2 weeks now and have 1 win. Am think i should follow some people here so its not all comp based and put up a tweet myself every couple of days.

Hmmmmm that was an interesting article. I've never really bothered with Twitter but giving it a go at the minute. I'm quite good at being chatty so might give that a go :o

Editted to say I just got a retweet so it's a start. So much for the Twitter being quick and painless plan though!
    Comps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
    SEALED POT CHALLENGE MEMBER No. 428 2015 - £210.93

  • I used to win about 4 times a week on twitter...I was tweeting a lot then, now I go on a couple of times a day and maybe win once a week (on average, sometimes I don't win for a month however!). I do think some companies just don't like compers now, it used to seem much easier to win. I've won some good prizes on twitter, so I will carry on!:T
Some best wins: £5,000 with hotels4u, 3D tv with ipad and sky for a year, another ipad, Hudl tablet, Sony z1 Xperia mobile, Spa break and £300 spa treatments, hotel chocolat hampers!

17 wins on facebook and 11 wins on twitter this year, most of my wins have been where i have entered late including the last on weds last week i think it was.

make sure your not an egg and dont follow a 2000 people is the only advise i can give .. talk at least once a day may give you an advantage?

Why not follow 2000? Out of interest? I actually follow more than 2000 - I didn't realise, but after a certain amount of people follow you, you can go over the 2k barrier.
