Write to PE with a copy of the receipt, that has achieved numerous cancellations in the past - as per my post #6.

I'd keep Aldi up your sleeve for later should you not get satisfaction from PE.

    Hi Half Way
I returned the PCN to Parking Eye after copying it. I think I'll write to Aldi with (a copy of) the receipt.
Why don't you just email PE with a copy of the receipt anyway saying, if they don't cancel you have now decided you want a POPLA code, as you want to cost them £27 only for them to lose again at POPLA? Or ring the Aldi number and tell the silly cow who answers, you will show the receipt in order to avoid being sued by the monster that is Parking Eye but you are now an ex-customer? She'll have a snidey moan (but then again she needs to get a real job).

But get the stupid PCN cancelled before you regret not doing so.

I sent PE a copy of the Aldi receipt asking for POPLA code. Just received two separate refusals: from Car park management and Car park solutions with FAQs and POPLA appeal form. Should 1) Complete it? Wasn't aware that I had to register car in Aldi. 2) Contact Aldi HQ? 3) Tell PE that as not the landowner they do not have the authority to issue penalties?

    1) of course. POPLA is your golden ticket and what the Newbies thread post #3 is all about.

  • PE PCN ALdi Boscombe. After receiving the POLA code from PE and that my appeal time had been extended...just received a notice from PE that the charge had cancelled as a measure of goodwill. Thanks PE as you probably visit this site! You wouldn't have won anyway! Cheers to you all for your great help!

If this were me I would submit a PE POPLA appeal anyway. Costs them money and you will win.
