new kitchen disaster! what are my rights?

I recently ordered a new kitchen. I debated long and hard if I should have it in white or ivory. In the end I decided to choose hand painted wood in ivory. I also chose surfaces to compliment it. Because it was an expensive kitchen and i was very undecided about the colour I went to the show room and they gave me 9 blocks of wood in all the different colours they do to take home to try them in my kitchen. I decided on the ivory and the owner said he would order it when I was completely satisfied with the colour. When I gave the go ahead he ordered the kitchen in ivory. The kitchen was delivered 4 weeks later. It was installed about 6 weeks ago by my builder. I loved the design and layout of the kitchen and the look of the units, handles etc but wasn't happy with how the work surfaces and units matched in colour. I felt I had made a mistake but I would have to live with my choice. I kept saying to the builder and my husband- do you think this kitchen looks ivory doesn't it look more like very pale green? Everybody reassured me that it looked lovely and the colours did match. We have a lot of trees outside the window and I convinced myself that they were reflecting onto the units and making them look ever so slightly green. I tried to buy paint for the kitchen always taking my ivory swatch with me but when I came back and tried it on the walls it just didn't go. I paid for 7 testers in all and none of them were right. I opened the kitchen drawer today and found the 7 colours on wooden blocks- put the mussel block colour next to it and it is exactly the same colour definitely not the ivory. What do I do now. If I go back to the person who sold me the kitchen will he say that there are always variations in colour and he warned me of this before I bought it. Also will they say I should have checked the goods when they were delivered. I was away when the kitchen was delivered and it looked very similar to ivory when it was fitted when I got back. I was only when it was all put in and the surfaces installed that I could see that they didn't match. I kept on saying to my husband - this kitchen looks green not ivory I should have chosen the white. What are my options now? I have a copy of the original order and it says ivory but I do not have a copy of the delivery note. Either there were none or the builder didn't pass them on to me when I came back from holiday. The boxes that the doors were delivered in went out 2 skips ago. I paid quite a lot of money for this kitchen and it was supposed to be my dream kitchen. I now keep looking at it and noticing that the colour of the surfaces and units don't match. Any suggestions on how I should proceed?

Ask the seller nicely if they made a mistake when ordering. If he agrees they aren't the right colour he should pay for them to be painted the right colour!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

Don't think it's going to be that easy just to turn up and paint them. They are painted in the factory.0 -

do you think they will say it was my responsibility to check it there is also all the kickbacks and trims etc. Quite a big job I think.0

There's a huge, very noticeable, difference between the ivory and mussel in the link you provided, it's a completely different colour, not just a few shades darker! How could you not have noticed they were completely wrong when you first saw them? I could possibly see how you could think mussel and olive were similar, but ivory is way off.
I would definitely get the owner round to see the colour against the swatch you have, and would be asking for him to either replace the doors with the correct colour or have them send back to be repainted. What colour are the carcasses, will they still go with the ivory doors?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I think they are so different that you will definitely be asked why you didn't notice immediately.0

It depends on which ivory you are looking at.
If you check the "Options 50" colours, there is "Legno ivory" which is very similar to "Legno mussel" and it's possible that this is the ivory that the OP ordered.0 -
It's the trenant ivory and trenant mussel. I agree they look very different in the picture but in real life there is only one shade between them. In fact until i found the other swatches it was difficult to tell, But now it's clear that I have the wrong colour and that's why matching everything has been a nightmare.0
