Nursery/regular furniture

The wardrobes we have in our own bedroom are actually the nursery range leksvik ones from Ikea - they fitted what we wanted (don't need masses of full length hanging space but shelving and bottom drawers much more) much better than the adult variant! The kids' wardrobe is a fitted one in an alcove in their room anyway - we've just popped a cheap chest of drawers in the bottom of it as they don't need full hanging space and need more drawer space at the moment.
We had a changing unit but just a basic one that now has storage boxes full of garden toys on it in the summer house - we rarely used it for nappy changes to be honest - just have big boxes up and downstairs with supplies and a changing mat in. Space will always be limited for us as we have two girls sharing one room - at the moment it's pretty cramped as we have bunk beds in there plus a cot bed in bed form as the eldest is too young to sleep in the top bunk but the beds were going on freecycle so we'd have been a mug to miss out on them!
We deliberately didn't buy proper nursery furniture and bought the white variant of everything we did so we could pick from various places and not have to worry about shades of wood not matching - but we did the kids' room very cheaply (lots of stuff from freecycle and things) with the fact in mind that when they're old enough to be using bunk beds properly and have ideas about what they want their room to be like I might have the strength of will to tackle the woodchip paper in there and we'll do it all properly then with a better mind as to how we want the room to work if that makes sense.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
