Hi
My son has just bought a new virgin mobile phone which came with £5 credit. He already has a virgin phone and he wanted to keep his number. When I rang Virgin to ask if the £5 credit cold be transferred to his existing number they refused. Is there any way round it?

Thanks

I dont think there is I'm afraid, Virgin 2 virgin wont let you do it unless you make a story up I.E he was getting unwanted calls then they might transfer it for you, its a stab in the dark but they may let you.

I doubt that they would believe that he was getting unwanted calls on a new sim?

The best thing is just to use the £5 sim until it is run dry.

If he bought the phone from Virgin, they give you the option of not getting the sim pack if you are registered with them, this gives you an automatic £10 off any phone.

Thanks both - the thanks button has disappeared! We didnt buy it from Virgin directly so didnt have the option of declining the sim.

Strange, Virgin transferred credit for me from one sim to another, although both were registered in my name and the credit had been added since registration. Maybe they only allow it on credit you buy as opposed to the initial registration credit??

Your find they want normally move promotional credit between numbers, only credit you have paid for by top up.
