Anybody would think they didn't want my money.

I don't get the issue at all. Buy it elsewhere. There are many places online who do them.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I too cannot understand why you would want to pay £720 for a tablet that costs £400 in most shops??0

(are you going to put me on 'ignore' too?
).
Not unless you start being insulting. If you can't find a deal you want in one shop, don't expect them to change to accommodate what suits you
I don't.
I was merely commenting that, they don't seem to want my money.
Last time I looked, this was the Praise, Vents and Warnings Forum.0 -

So tell us which company didn't want to to sell you a tablet on pay as you go and were only prepared to offer it as part of a 24 month contract.
Not that I actually care, because I would have just done as already suggested. Namely, shrugged my shoulders, said I didn't want to be tied to a contract, walked out and bought elsewhere. Worthy of a minor shrug and a million miles away from requiring a vent in my world.0 -

To be fair, LilElvis did state "a million miles away from requiring a vent in my world," and as you stated recently, this is the Praise, vents and warnings forum, so why can't someone have a vent about a topic that's been raised?0 -

I didn't claim any such thing. I said it wouldn't have warranted a vent from me. Exactly why I haven't posted about the couple of calls I have had from Orange (with whom I have my mobile contract) offering me an iPad at a ridiculous rate. I simply said "no thanks, I can afford to buy one for cash and so do not want to accept your kind offer to purchase one over 2 years at 3 times the cost" and put the phone down.
I strongly suggest you visit your doctor and ask him to prescribe you a "chill pill".
Alternatively: listen to whale song or pour yourself a tipple of whatever is your alcoholic beverage of choice. It's not a "biggie"0 -

Yes you did (want them to change their deal to accommodate you).Bedsit_Bob wrote: »I was looking at a Galaxy S tablet, in a local phone shop, yesterday.
It seems to suit my needs, being Wi-Fi and Cellular.
Trouble is, it's apparently not available on PAYG.
The best deal seems to be just over £30pm, over 24 months.
Problem is, I don't fancy being tied into a DD for 24 months.
So I said, how about if I pay you 24 months (£720+) up front?
But no, they won't let me do it that way.
The only option would be, for me to take it on contract, then ring up a month later and pay it all off.
Trouble is, they'd consider that to beme buying myself out of the contract, at which point they'd disconnect the phone.
As I say, anybody would think they didn't want my money.
If you didn't want them to change the deal, you'd have taken out the contract.
And I'm well aware that this is the Praise, Vents and Warnings board.
Maybe you could point out where in MSE rules it says that other posters can't comment and disagree with a vent.
Thank you.0 -
Back on topic.
You are correct. They don't want your money. They want people on contracts. Not really worth 'venting' about. Just go elsewhere.0
