Costco was around £15 for a 20 litre drum last time I looked.
  • Clio 1.5 dci 80hp. Excellent economy and can get one under a grand! £30 road tax doesn't hurt either. If you want a bigger car get the civic 1.7 cdti

What's this got to do with frying chips or using cooking oil?

The local chippie is as far as you'd want to drive the Clio.
  • I read somewhere about this and not definite on figures:
As a rule of thumb, if the car was built before 2000 it should be ok but if it was after, then it might be a bit more difficult as the engine management won't like it (I think).
It can be different from car to car so read up on other people who have done it to the same car as you have to see if it will work or what modifications may be needed (it should also say if it will cause any thing to break such as damaging seals etc.)
It is legal and you don't have to pay tax until you use several thousand pounds worth but I'm not sure on the exact figure

Be very careful, the car manufacturers have been working quite hard to stop people doing this. The oil industry and the automotive industry have always been very closely linked, but its the govt that profits most from fuel prices.

KTC was £12.99 at the end of last month apparently, seems to be more people trying to get rid of waste oil as well.

Happy memories! I've still got all the gear in the garage, one day......
  • Might be worth a try, I have a 53 plate fiesta, will try in small amounts and gradually increase it until I feel happy that it's enough, if the car dies i'm not too fussed as it's a spare for me.
