Moved from Orange and still charged
I know there are other threads related to this, but my case may be slightly different. At the time I cancelled I was not on a contract with Orange, I had been with Orange for around 15 years and moved onto their Virgin Price Promise tariff around 10 years ago. This tariff (as some may know) would have had no contract when I cancelled on 11th August as I merely paid for the calls I made each month (rather than it being a top up phone or monthly contract).
I requested my PAC code on the 6th August and transferred over to giffgaff on 11th (the last day I got charged by Orange who normally charged me on the 9th of the month). However on the 9th September I was then charged another £7.55 by Orange (previously my bills were normally below £5). Is there a chance that Orange have charged me for something they shouldn't have? Given that between the 11th August and 9th September I couldn't have used my Orange phone at all (as the number had transferred over) I don't understand these extra charges.

When you say you were 'charged' £7.55 on 9 sep - is that when the money came out of your bank? If so, that means your bill cycle would have been 26 August (ish) and that bill would have been for any calls from 26 July - 26 August so it is possibly correct.
You don't pay line rental so there will be no charges for that but the best thing to do is call and ask them to explain where the charges have come from as it would seem it is over your 'normal' usage.0
