Are you jesting TQM? - you don't ring parking lie EVER.

Why would you wish to do this? Just re-read Umkomaas' #4.

If you must communicate with them - again, why would you? - just suggest they run a staff refresher course on The Law.

You may like to think of letting them issue Court papers, whereupon there's more expense for them and possibly £500 costs' pay-out to you:-)...plenty to read further in this Forum.

Someone will supply that link: for the moment, I can't locate it.

  • Just thought it might be good to have some fun getting their operators to explain in detail exactly what legal basis they make their claims on knowing full well they won't be able to answer.

I'll take your advice and leave it, tempting as it is :)

Their 'operators' wouldn't have a clue. Joined-up writing? What's that?

To satisfy your temptation, check out Parking Prankster's blog regularly:

You will immediately note today's article, wherein Roxburghe, 'who act as debt collectors for the parking industry', have been placed in administration, but are already resurfacing[scumpanies do float]:
'Gary Osner, the director of Roxburghe appears to already have a phoenix company ready, ZZPS.
Gary Osner was made a director of the British Parking Association Ltd in July 2014.'

@TQM - don't mess with these people, they deal with this stuff every day of the week, every week of the year. They will have heard and dealt with everything. They issue over 800,000 NtKs every year; you're not dealing with a tinpot, one man and his dog operation. There's every danger in phoning them that you will inadvertently reveal the driver's details.

On the subject of dogs, you must let sleeping dogs lie in this case; that is more likely to frustrate them than any attempt at (sorry to use the phrase) clever-!!!!!! questioning.

If you want to vent your spleen, direct your bile at Morrisons, tell them exactly why you (and your family and friends) will never darken their doorstep (or car park for that matter) ever again. That will be more helpful in the fight against the scourge of the UK (yep, you're now still part of it :)) motorist.

Remember - golden rule - NEVER EVER phone a PPC or debt collector, you'll be in a worse position than before you started.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Spoilsport! But you're right. I'll just keep an eye on this forum and post back when i receive the next letter threatening to repossess my house or freeze my bank account or maybe even have me arrested and thrown in jail.

In the meantime keep up the good work

Why not just search the forum for keywords (the most unusual phrase) from the next letter, so you can read all the other times it's been posted about and ignored? Or search the forum for the single keyword 'Scotland' to read all the other threads like this one. No need to tell us every time a predictable letter arrives, when this is multiplied by 100 other people doing the same....please!

Loads of threads about Scotland here to be searched for and read.
