Hi,
I purchased 2 bags from a site which I though was legit. I received 2 bags about 10 weeks after ordered which are clearly fake and completely different to the ones I ordered.
I tried contacting the seller for a refund but after not having any luck started a dispute through Barclaycard.
Barclaycard have eventually come back to me and said they can't continue the dispute as payment was taken through a 3rd party. They said my only option now is to raise a chargeback but I have to send the items back to the merchant.. I've just gone to go back onto their site to find the address but it's been shut down due to fraud and selling counterfit items!
What should I do??

What do Barclaycard advise you to do if you can't send the goods back?0

A similar recent thread: Visa dispute help please
And if the '3rd party' was Paypal you can use their own buyer protection program.0 -
Barclaycard said they can't do anything unless I show them proof of postage for a return. They said if I can't do that I should speak to citizens advise!
I didn't know I was paying a 3rd party - the fake company obviously used them for payments.0 -
What was the entry on your statement? did this refer to Paypal or similar, if so you would be better contacting them first, obviously if 'a third party' doesn't refer to a third party payment processor you have more of an issue.0

It's a company called 'just yeah' on my bank statement.
When I Google them it says they are an internet provider in Beijing :-(0 -
Barclays are fobbing you off.
Read the thread I quoted:...I got a call yesterday from Nationwide explaining that I needed to have proof of sending the wrong bottle back before they could refund me. ...
I explained to them that in amongst the many e-mails they will see that I asked for the return address and was promised they would send me an e-mail with the warehouse address but I never got it. I added that I was concerned that the website's contact address had changed from Edinburgh to Manchester during the course of our e-mail correspondence - hardly in close proximity to each other!
They agreed and will be refunding my full payment today - yay!:)
Complain and take the case to the FOS if they keep fobbing you off.0 -
I will call them again this afternoon - thank you!0

Yes, I know it's an old thread, but I think this is an important point to make.0 -
Keep trying the above mentioned suggestions. However, you might be stuck with this it seems. I am always skeptical about buying things online for just this reason. Personal note...Always research before buying and use well known sites. Just my thoughts from my experiences.
I hope you are able to get your money back. Please keep us posted if you don't mind I am hoping you win this and get your money back.0
