Looking for a new Android phone...
I think my Galaxy Nexus is on its way out... Battery is only lasting till noon with medium usage on 2G only!
Battery isn't the only reason to ditch a phone, but the processor is dying and the phone is looking too scruffy for my liking (I work in a publi-facing job).
Anyway, I'm thinking;
HTC One M8
OnePlus One
Xperia Z3
"Nexus X"
I know the XPeria and the Nexus aren't out yet, but they're due in the next few weeks, aren't they? And the OnePlus, I'll need an invite for atm.
Any thoughts on those 4? Is there anything else out there that I'm missing?

I used a HTC One M8 for a few months and it is honestly one of the best phones I have ever used. If I wasn't an Apple slave I would be using that. HTC do an amazing job with Android.0

I have been using a one plus one for the last couple of months, and must say that it is an excellent phone. Although I am biased as like it more for that fact that i could unlock the bootloader and customise it.
Just make sure that if you go for that then the 4G frequencies are compatible with the network that you are on.
I would be tempted to see what the new nexus looks like too. Not long to wait to see for that. Oh and the one plus is going to move to pre-orders in October as far as i understand.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
I think one plus one is a great deal,Trust me its the best phone. However if brand is your concern then go for HTC one M8 another beauty.0

The processor can't "be dying". It can be slow, but it's either dead or alive.
Are you looking for excuses for buying a new phone? Otherwise what's the point in posting them on the forum?
BTW, AFAIK, new HTC phones are famous for their literally non-replaceable batteries.0 -
The gnex slows down as the sd card fills up - backup any data, wipe the sd, and do a factory reset, and see if that fixes things.
And remember to backup.

Nexus 5
Same thing, only better. Or wait for whatever the next Nexus is.0 -
I'd recommend the LG3. I've just got one sim-free after previously owning an Xperia Z. Check out the reviews online, generally considered to be one of the best phones on the market at present.
You'll probably be able to get one for around £100 cheaper than a Z3. However the Nexus may well be priced very competitively, as the previous models were upon release.
Battery life was a problem with my Xperia Z, and the non-replaceable battery meant I had to buy a portable charger and carry that around! No such issues with the G3 at present, and the replaceable battery means I'll be able to carry a charged spare if I need to.0 -
I'd like to get my first android after using iphone for the last few years and my son tells me that one plus one is what I should go for, does anyone know if it;s still possible to get an invite for this, or what I would need to do?There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0
