After being with Orange Mobile for 16 years, I decided to change my supplier to ASDA mobile. Mainly because they use the same network: EE.

I was quite happy with the quality of the network coverage (I live in a rural area and network coverage is the primary concern), but their prices! - and their website! - and don't get me started on their 'customer services' - we'll, I just got fed up.

And decided to move to ASDA mobile.

What a reassuringly pleasant experience it has proved to be.

Dealing with the unfailingly up-beat Geordie 'can do' customer services helpline has been a pleasure. Most of the problems have been my fault, but not once was I made to feel that it was their first reaction that they expected it to be so. That sentence appears tangled , but it is exactly what I mean.... I was no longer the inconvenience who had interrupted their peaceful life - they were there to give me customer service! - just imagine that!

Good riddance Orange - Hello ASDA

I wonder if they have a shop somewhere?!!

Well it's nice to see someone here with something nice to say about their mobile network. I presume Three wasn't an option for you because of poor coverage in your area?
  • Correct.

I live on Exmoor and Orange is really the only choice

I liked ASDA Mobile when I was with them some years ago. Main problem is that they are a tad expensive, but if customer service is important and you are a very light user, why not?

If you are more price sensitive and/or use your phone a bit more, consider White Mobile, also on EE. Calls 3p/6p to landlines/mobiles, texts 5p, unlimited free calls and texts within network and free voicemail. Customer service not that great, but generally adequate.
