Cancelling a phone contract within 14 days

Hi there,
I've taken out a 12month SIM only phone contract with O2 via 'mobiles dot co dot uk' and would be grateful if someone could explain my rights with regards to cancelling the contract.
I've spoken to O2 directly and they've confirmed I can cancel the contract within 14 days even if I've used the SIM card.
However, 'mobiles dot co dot uk' say I can only cancel within 14days if I've not used the SIM card.
My concern is I will not have sufficient signal when at work, regardless of what O2's signal checks says and the only way I can check is to use the SIM.
The 'mobiles dot co dot uk' site stats 'Ensure the Sim/Handset/Free gift has not been used (use signifies acceptance of your
contract).'
Thanks

No, you could get a free PAYG SIM and try that.0 -
That's true O2 do allow you to cancel within 14 days, even if used they will just charge you for useage. However the problem is you didn't buy it directly from them and the vendors T&C's apply.nickhopkins07 wrote: »
