Mine didnt arrive on time from Amazon, so bought in asda. Now amazon have emailed me to say dispatched today via parcelnet:rolleyes:. Anyone ever refused delivery of an amazon parcel? Did the money get refunded ok? Can't be bothered to have to post the parcel back if there's an easier way.0

If the delivery was late surely you'd have a good case for a refund? I've never had to refuse anything before so not 100% sure how it works.

I also orderd from Tesco due to their e-mail which said they would ensure I received the book on 21st July, the customer service dept said I should read their terms and conditions if I was unhappy.
I have just sent an e-mail of complaint to the Cheif Exec of Tesco. I wonder if he will answer?

Result. I've had an email from Amazon saying that as stepson and I are sooo disappointed (I laid it on quite thick in the email
), and they didn't fulfill their guarantee to deliver on release date even though I ordered in time, they have given me gift certificates worth £17.98. So that's 2 free HP books for me 
Gonna take one of them back to Asda when they arrive to get a refund!0 -

I only needed 2 books and when Amazon's books do eventually show up I'll have 3. Perhaps you didn't read my earlier post explaining that I had to go and buy one in Asda as my stepson was beside himself that it hadn't turned up.
If Amazon had supplied on time, I wouln't have had to go buy an extra one from asda. I don't quite understand why you're slagging me off for taking one back to get my money back but heyho. Not going to lose any sleep over it. It's not like Asda are going to have any problem with the fact that I'm returning a brand new book identical to the one I bought from them with a receipt.
The purpose of my posting on this thread was to advise anyone who didn't get their books on time from Amazon, that they will get their money back if they complain. And quite rightly, imho.0 -

Although you might find the bar codes are different on the back and therefore they wont take it for refund. I returned a book where I had received a duplicate item and picked the wrong copy up to return and had this happen to me that the bar code didnt match so wouldnt exchange. Wasnt a problem as I just went home and got the other one to return which had been purchased from the store.0 -

Well, that's fair enough, I was going to make sure the amazon book was identical to the asda one before doing it anyway. I can understand this rude person criticising me if I was planning to take some dodgy copy back in exchange, but one that is identical in every way, now where is the problem in that?
Edit to say that the Amazon ones are not estimated to arrive until Wednesday so bloody good job I got them for nothing lol.0 -

I doubt it, I complained about a Tesco Direct delivery last week. Only half the parcel arrived on the day of delivery - the CS guy was SO rude, just said it wasn't their fault and must be the courier and what had it got to do with Tesco! The other half of my order didn't arrive until 3 days later!
Seems to me that if you cn't rely on the courier to deliver the whole order at once - you should change the courier service.0
