Don't spend five pounds to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the charity shop instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for two pounds.

OK, but this poster was only trying to pass on a bargain. Those who were already in the know about this could just skip the thread...surely better to have it repeated than miss out? why put people down?

Do you realize how old this argument is? It goes probably back to the first humans. You can't defeat progress, you can only delay it.

We shouldn't have let people use agricultural machines because the bigger picture was farmers wouldn't have as much work. We shouldn't have domesticated animals, because then the poor hunters couldn't work. We shouldn't have invented e-mail because the postal services would lose out..... and so on and so on...

When you put it like that... 2 True!!!!:T

Anybody else have this problem - I ordered it 13th July when it was Tescos deal of the day - I'm sure they guaranteed delivery fro 21st July, but stayed in all day yesterday as they said it had been sent by courier and it would require a signature - but no book, I rang them and all they said was, when it arrives Monday you can send it back.
    Not very good service!!

I also pre ordered from deal of the day and we had our copy delivered yesterday morning. Is the problem down to Tesco's or Royal Mail ? check the status of the order and if it says dispatched I think the problem will lie with the Royal Mail.

They advised me that it had been sent by courier, when it didn't arrive with the other book that I had ordered from Waterstones, that arrived via Royal Mail
    Titch :)
