If you consider MSE's advertisement was misleading you should write to MSE at Customer Complaints, moneysavingexpert.com Ltd, Shepherds Studios, Charecroft Way, London, W14 0EH.

The deal was exclusive to MSE, only available from MSE, it was a commercial deal out of which MSE expects to make money, therefore it should deal with your complaint.

The Advertising Standards Authority also considered complaints from consumers about misleading advertising however all it can do is ban adverts that breach its code, it cannot instruct MSE to pay you for any shortfall you believe resulted from its advertisement.

You will need to read the wording of MSE's advert very carefully and whether or not it is misleading. The ad does talk about line rental and broadband, it makes a price comparison claim on that basis -

'If you're on a standard BT, Sky, Virgin or TalkTalk package, you may pay £300+/yr for broadband & line rental (excl calls). This deal knocks those for six. '

MSE's advert addresses those on standard Sky packages for broadband and line rental (excl calls) and says this deal will knock your current deal for six. The advert is incorrect if in fact it is not for existing Sky broadband subscribers. You could argue that Sky newbie would be taken to mean new to Sky Broadband and the ad is confusing as it says it is for those on standard Sky packages

There are several threads on this forum and other forums, EE's forum with often unanswered complaints that vouchers offered by MSE have not been received.

Consider with these so called no cost deals, if the product costs £192.00 and comes with a voucher cash equivalent £192.00, why not just ditch the voucher and give the consumer the product, which is what consumers prefer.

There must be something going on with significant numbers not receiving their voucher, and the chances of this are doubled by splitting vouchers.

It probably increases the sign up rate hugely.
  • Hi first post ever
I signed up in September for £192 m&s deal by switching to Sky.
I have recieved a £100 e-voucher but can't remember how or when to get the remainder. I think it was coming from some other company.
    Advise please

Hi everyone, just a reminder, it takes up to 90 days for the vouchers to arrive. Admittedly Sky have sent their vouchers very promptly which is a good thing. Affiliate Window will send the second voucher but please bear in mind that its up to 90 days which is about 3 months and it hasn't been 3 months since the deal was on our site. So please be patient, you will get the vouchers.
  • I'm in the same boat. I moved to Sky broadband to take advantage of the £192 Marks and Spencer vouchers and to date I still haven't received the 'affiliate window' £92 vouchers. (I received the ones from Sky when the account went live) I've paid two Sky bills to date and STILL no vouchers. This surely is a case of mis-selling? I have tried in vain to get a telephone number for MSE but they only have a postal address in London. I've emailed the 'affiliate window' link and am waiting for a reply. I'm giving them another 14 days to reply - then I'm going to seek advice from the ombudsman. Too many people are complaining that they haven't received the additional vouchers for it to be an admin error. It's more like they didn't anticipate that so many would join and therefore can't honour the deal. If this is the case I'm cancelling my Sky membership; despite the fact it's a legally binding contract, any intelligent person can see this has been 'mis-sold' and therefore they have 'nulled ' the deal as it were.

I'm also annoyed that MSE haven't even replied to concerns through these threads. It's also not fair on the consumer for Sky to more or less say 'it's not our problem'. Um, yes it is actually.

    MSE REPLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Lynda keep your wig on, there's an MSE post right above where you posted....

it takes 90 days max to arrive

I've just posted on another thread: but the additional £92 M&S Vouchers have just dropped into my inbox:j

    That's the Christmas food sorted!
  • I'm still waiting for the £92 from Affiliate Windows vouchers too. I have receive my £100 M&S vouchers, very promptly from Sky by email (not post). I (like many others) have contacted Sky to find out what is going on, the Sky chap kept me on the phone for 40 minutes (!!) went to speak to his manager twice and basically came back saying they know nothing about this extra deal and I have to contact MSE. I joined the forum, found this threat, tried the Affiliate Windows email, but to no avail, waited six days for a reply - no joy. So really glad to hear you have received the £92 vouchers - seems like there is hope yet. One last thing, I explained to the guy at Sky that initially I had been hoping to use both vouchers together (as I expect others wanted to do so too) he said their vouchers are valid for 24 months so - don't worry if you don't receive your vouchers later, your £100 voucher will still be valid.

Hi I joined Sky Broadband using the MSE link, which said was for Sky Newbies, which I assumed from the MSE email was for Sky Broadband newbies.
I was previously with Talk Talk but did have. and still have, Sky TV.
They have only given me £25! as an existing customer.
Was the MSE email/message misleading and therefore incorrect, or should I get back on to Sky to chase up?
    Thanks

I'm in the same boat. Does anyone know if existing sky tv customers still get the £92 from the third party or is it just the £25 we have already received?
  • I need to ressurect this thread. How do I get my £92 worth of vouchers. As all the above have said, I got my £100 voucher from Sky via email. Please can you advise on how to obtain the rest?
