orange will be able to give you the codes to unlock this phone.
im not sure if local unlockers can unlock this for you as i dont know if its a DB2020 phone or not
EDIT: i think it also depends on the CID of the phone as well0 -

If you buy the phone and it is an orange handset you can simply put your orange sim card in the phone and it will work fine. All credit etc will be on the phone, if the phone is on another network then the phone will have to be unlocked so it will work with an orange sim, if thats the case then once it is unlocked then you can put the orange sim you have and again the credit will remain on the sim. Hope this clears this up for you.0 -

in simple terms, it can be unlocked by a code from orange. you should be able to keep your number and credit.
i think the higher the CID (security certificate) on the phone, the harder it is for shops/market stalls to unlock it0 -

Infact I just called Orange to find out about this.......They told [the same what you mentioned] that the Orange phone will take Orange simcard with no problem......
I was bit hesitant earlier because if the phone is unlockable, there is no point in buying as I am very keen about my existing number
THANKS ONCE AGAIN!!!0 -
