Worst case they should be able to give you back the tax paid on your flights as you won't be making them but this probably won't amount to much2p off is still 2p off!0

After phoning expedia and explainign the situation they referred us to point 2.3 of their terms and conditions which states they offer a 100% no refund policy, so if we cancel we pay the full cost of the holiday anyway. Can this be legal?
Does this affect my statutory rights?
and what the hell can i do about this because my family stand to loose over £700's !
Please help!
not sure what will happen to him though0 -

I don't see that this problem has anything to do with Expedia. The problem is that the card was used fraudulently. However, a claim to the card company is also likely to fail as the card holder failed to take reasonable steps to safeguard the security of the card. Check the terms & conditions for full details on this.
This is, I'm afraid, a private, family matter.
More worryingly, how does your mother look after her cards? She should not be in a position whereby anyone can simply take one and use it online.
Sorry not to be more positive, but I really think there is no-one to turn to, except your brother. What does he have to say for himself (just curious)
Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
Just a point. If you wanted to make an issue of the frudulant use of the card.
First you would need to report the matter to the police to get a crime reference number to satisfy the card provider that there has been a crime.
Second. The Police would be duty bound to investigate the crime as it's all to do with detection statistics etc..
Third. Your brother may then get a criminal record if he is prosecuted.
I hope it does not come to that...NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
