It did originally I think but then they started calling their turbocharged engines without a supercharger TSI as well.

I've had a 1.8TSI Octavia (also 08) for a few years now and it is brilliant. Fast, reliable, spacious. I do a regular 65 mile journey and in the summer I get 50 mpg each way. Overall I think my average is 44 mpg because of some poor conditions and shorter journeys.
My only gripe is that reversing is difficult (yours at least has sensors). Mine is black/black which is OK if you like that sort of thing. Yours is red/beige, which I have never seen before on an Octavia.
Some owners report high oil consumption but mine uses none between services.
That looks like a good 'un to me.0
