    Because even at 40mph cheap rubbish tyres can extend the braking distance. Which means when some idiot loses control and you do an emergency stop you are a car length or so further forward than you would have been with better tyres.

    Some of the tyre reviews in the magazines using the same vehicle each time show how bad some tyres are.

    How much should I read in to the tyre performance rating?
    The Kumho Solus KL21 is C and E and the Goodyear is E and C
    Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.
